Online and Offline Gambling in Hawaii
Hawaii has one of the strictest anti-gambling laws in the United States. Online casinos, sportsbooks, poker platforms, daily fantasy sports, and lotteries are all prohibited. The state does not have any commercial or tribal casinos, leaving residents with no legal gambling options.
Offline gambling is equally restricted. There are no racetracks, bingo halls, or charitable gaming events licensed under state law. Even fundraising raffles and casino nights are banned, which makes Hawaii unique compared to other states that at least allow charitable exceptions.
Because of these rules, Hawaii stands out as a state where gambling is almost entirely absent. Players seeking to participate in any form of real-money wagering must either travel to jurisdictions where gambling is legal or use offshore platforms, both of which fall outside state regulation.
